Adsense CTR - steady for 6 months, until this month..

Hey guys, not sure if I'm the only one, In general for the index page for my main site i used to get anywhere between 10-15% ctr which I would say over the last 15 days has gone down to the worst ever yesterday of about 3%..
I'm not sure if this is a xmas thing, although while a decrease in traffic on shopping days shouldnt mean a lock of CTR %.. Can I put this down to the quality of adverts on my site? I have checked them and they do look very targeted for my audienece so shouldnt be a problem.
I've messed about a bit with positioning with no results so just put it back as before. Any one got any ideas? do i just need to sit it out?
