Confusion About Duplicate Contents

Ok, so my understanding of the duplicate content is that when Google sees a page that has 100% original content, he believes that the content is important, and when indexed, consider that content must be original. If someone chooses to copy this content, Google will notice that this is not the original that the same content already indexed on another site, Google considers duplicate content not being important because it would result in Duplicate content is not indexed, or buried in search results.

    Duplicate content is about having the same content on the SAME site. Not on other sites. Look at all the press release sites, they all have the same content, it's indexed and ranking.

    The only thing is that the site with most authority will rank higher.

    Personally, my sites all have original content. As for articles, I used to submit the same article to hundreds of sites, now, I still submit, but variations of the same article.
