How To Increase Website Traffic
To increase website traffic you need to have a solid structure in place to send traffic to your sales page or web page.
Here is one structure that if you follow correctly it's pretty much guaranteed to send traffic your website...and what is cooler is if you follow it you would most likely shoot to the top of the search engines... at the same time.
Right first let me establish something CONTENT IS KING... you will not generate traffic if you don't invest your time or money in HIGH QUALITY AND RELVENT content, ignoring Adwords of course.
Ok here is one of my traffic structures, basically everything on the outer circle you must do to the inner circles.

We need to search engine optimize (SEO) the following;
·Squidoo Page
·Hub Page
·Weebly Site
·Articles
·Blog
·Sales Page
And for layer 2 we do the same but to the inner circles. Ie we add links to our blog and sales page on our Squidoo page.
Ok now we go into more detail. Of course there are some variables here, say you're trying to promote your forum so you would link your Squidoo page to your forum in that case, just use your common sense here, the SALE PAGE is site you want to send traffic to... so non internet marketers this is your own website.
Layer 1 - SEO, FORUM, Adwords and Social Bookmarking

- Squidoo
We need to optimize our Squidoo page, start the first sentence using your keyword, for example "Increasing Website Traffic is...."
The content you put into Squidoo has to be very informative and great quality...much like this one

- Hub Page
Hub Pages is similar to Squidioo but a hell of a lot stricter, you can only have one link in your page which should never link directly to your sales page or your page will be suspended.
- Articles
Optimizing our articles is a fairly simple, I follow this structure.
350-450 Words
Title or Headline The keyword has to go here,
2. Summary
Keyword again this is what will be shown in the search engine description.
3. First Paragraph
Keyword Here again
4. Body
Use the keyword a few times in the here.
5. Last Paragraph or Conclusion
Keyword must be the last word in the sense. Present a subtle lead to the resource box (where you promote your website).
- Weebly
Similar too
- Blog
There are many plugins to help you optimize your blog I recommend you use All in One SEO and Google Sitemap Generator.
- Sales Page
Use keywords, alt tags, h1 tags etc....
Search engine optimization is one of the most powerful factors you can use to increase website traffic. I have put together a full course on SEO including 27 videos that teach you step by step...the link is in my signature if you interested.
FORUM
Marketing on forums is very tricky you don't want to annoy people or get you and your website a bad reputation, so I would never send traffic directly to your sales page unless you're on certain websites where you can.
Only ever promote your pages in your signature, unless there is an opening for you to do so in a reply post.
So in forum signatures we need to promote between 1 and 3 of the following...
- Squidoo
- Hub Page
- Articles
- Weebly
- Blog
- Sales Page (Be cautious...in theory you shouldn't link directly here)
Adwords
This hasn't been used too much or talked about in regards to using Adwords to send traffic to Squidoo pages, hub pages, articles, blog etc... and I haven't tested this 100% but in theory you linking to relevant good quality content so why should Google charge you the world for traffic?
And the traditional, using Adwords to send traffic to your sale page, if it's done correctly you will receive tons of targeted traffic to your sales page. if it's not done right you will get tones of untargeted traffic costing you the moon. Take your pick.
Social Bookmarking
You should know about social bookmarking, if you don't, it's basically submitting information to places like Digg and Propeller. Read up on it a bit more here Social bookmarking - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Submit the following.
- Squidoo Page
- Hub Page
- Articles
- Weebly
- Blog (try and submit each blog post)
- Sales Page (in theory you shouldn't link directly to your sales page or website...but it does add as a valuable backlink)
That's pretty much it for the top layer.
Layer 2 - Squidoo, Hub Pages, Weebly, Articles.

Instead of just linking directly to your sales page and blog (which you should do) you link to your Hub Page, Weebly Site, Articles and Squidoo page.
High Authority (Linking to the sales page and blog) + High Authority (Linking to the sales page and blog) + High Authority (Linking to the sales page and blog) + High Authority (Linking to the sales page and blog) = Valuable Traffic Sent To Blog and Sales Page + High Authority Back links To Blog and Sales Page + High Search Engine Ranking.
Ok now what you need to do to your Hub Page, Weebly Site, Articles and Squidoo pages is basically link to each other but also in each you should link to your blog and to your sales page.
Layer 3 - Blog and Sales Page

Finally! Your Sales Page and Blog.
Your blog should link to your sales page and your sales page should link to your blog. Simple.
Your blog should be packed with high quality and RELEVENT information, And should clearly link to your sales page.
Following this whole structure correctly will result in a higher position in the search engines and a lot of traffic...well it did for me J
Hope this helps....
