Well what exactly do you mean by offline SEO :S

Either way, scrapebox is a beast when in the right hands. Mass blog commenting, harvesting, PR checking are just the surface. Only purchase if you're willing to invest some time into it however.

This is the first and only thing I've invested in with my online income so far.

You can do black.hat crap with it, or you can use it like a surgeon's tool. Most people seem to use it like a blunt instrument which is really a crap way of doing it. Don't but it unless you're willing to spend some time and effort in figuring it out, or you're going to waste your money. I'm still trying to figure it all out completely.

Right now I'm running 160,000 Wordpress blogs through the dofollow/nofollow checker.

and no, I'm not auto spamming them.

Yeah, fantastic software well worth the money, but like others have said, get to know it. Its all to easy just to go with the sledgehammer approach which will only get you so far.

        I just purchased Scrapebox.

It feels like I have just had a Bugatti Veyron delivered to my house and it's idling in my driveway. I want to to take it out for a spin and see what all the fuss is about. But it's very intimidating too. I don't want to crash and ruin everything (get banned by Google and my i.s.p.)

I think I will invest in a "race-car driving course" (scrapebox manual/course) first before I take her for a spin.

From what I can see this software is a real beast and can really get you where you want to go. Just handle it with care and restraint.

Before you rush off and buy a manual, do a search on youtube you'll find a lot of good stuff there such as -

          official scrape box channel

          Looplines videos

          and

          ScrapeBoxBlueprint

          plus more.

Great tips. It's often tempting to mass-spam thousands of blogs to get backlinks when you first start out but this will not do much good for your sites.

If you learn to use it properly and do things that other people aren't doing you can get a lot of unsaturated backlinks.

It really is a very versatile tool.

By the way, I'm not sure if people know about this, but you can get it for almost half price through this special link ($57 vs $97)

This is NOT an affiliate link; they don't even have an affiliate program.

    cheapskate - ScrapeBox

Again, please don't waste your money unless you're willing to put time in to figure it out. I guarantee you will have no clue how to use it unless you watch some of the videos like peterj suggests, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

I have seen it and its not a bad tool but if you want to purchase it, you should have knowledge about seo. Because if you don't know how to use such programs, its possible that your website loss it's ranking on search engines.

As with many things, it can be used for good and it can be used for bad (really bad) stuff. The choice is of course yours. I like tools like that though, there is really no limitation here, you can use it however you want.

By the way, I've heard the developers of Scrapebox are currently working on their own little forum poster tools (ala xrumer), I'm very intrigued.

I would say, as of right now yes. Focus on some other aspects and just get the basics down. Then use it as a tool to make your websites better in the eyes of Google.

I second that. This software would probably slow down your efforts and you should be learning the basics of backlinking first.

At the very minimum you would need to know about proxies, Page Rank, dofollow, anchor text, search strings, + more.

Just do what you know now, keep learning and picking up new tips along the way.

There is plenty of time to get into automated software later on, just focus on building your knowledge for now.

Blog commenting is a good way to increase backlinks and in turn generate traffic to your site. Scrapebox is such a product that automates the tedious task of blog commenting. So, if your a one man team and your not into doing any outsource work for your traffic generation process, then go ahead and invest in this product. You just might need to invest in private proxies. If you use this product often, your I.P would end up banned by some of the sites. So getting a paid private proxy would be a good additional investment.

I have been pondering buying scrapebox but apprently it does not differenciate between dofollow and nofollow and in addition you have to buy proxies to use it effectively. Given that it sells at a low price tag, I thinking it is not worth the effort?

well, if posting to 100,000 blogs in 2-3 hours start to finish isnt worth it then idk what is, after about a week you could see up to 5,000 backlinks if you did your research,

As I mentioned, this comes down to figuring out how to use the tool to its fullest. And no you don't have to buy proxies, there are a number of free ones which you can scrape, but they are not as good as private proxies.

I thought scrapebox was "black hat" by definition all it does it create spam backlinks everywhere? If someone can clarify that would be great.

      Yes and no.

When it comes to the blog commenting aspect of scrapebox, some people just scrape thousands of blogs and then shotgun silly comments or a list of links.

Alternatively you could focus and choose a niche, scrape relevant keywords, harvest blogs accordingly, write some comments relevant to that niche and then spin those comments before running them.

Also blog commenting is only a small portion of what scrapebox can do.

This is an example of an Xrumer post. This is spam. Scrapebox can post comments on blogs, that probably no one will ever seen or even have to moderate. Also note this guys signature.

As for those of you complaining about proxies... Do some web searches... Or even better, Warrior Forum searches...

    Global Proxies
    Proxy-Hunter

These two sites provide me with 300+- good proxies every single day if I need new ones every single day... Less than 2000 ping.

Actually, now that I think about it, I've never used both sites in one day. Just grab from a new list and test the proxies... TONS of others sites out there like this.

You do not install SB on your/a server like XRumer, you download it to your your desktop, activate your license and run it from there.

I don't think it's an issue with the software itself, but how people choose to use it.

You can post 100,000 blog comments, many of which are going to be deleted over time. Or, you can use Scrapebox to find the best, high PR pages on those sites and write a blog comment yourself which is likely to stay forever.

Assuming you want to submit comments manually, to find appropriate comments, is it anything like using some of the Article Spinners out there? With most spinners given the complications involved in using it, spining the article manually takes the same amount of time.

        It's not even comparable.

You don't "find" appropriate comments; you read the blog post and come up with your own insightful, relevant response and put your website in the URL box.

If you try to use the automatic spammer I can guarantee you'll get banned by Akismet. One of my websites got banned by it and I was even doing manually posting.

I like to dissect my competitions backlinks, find autoapproval blogs, forums, it's limitless.

I'm actually in the process of pinging 77777 stats sites with a domain (rapid indexer/meta indexing) to see what happens! Then going to run link checker!

I load approximately 300 fresh, working, low lat proxies at the beginning of that day of use.
