Google Sandbox - Certain Niche?

This subject had been discussed several time in many places (there is a WSO on it), but i don't yet see it discuss on in depth on how the sandbox can be trigger. Well in my experience, i have been building almost 75 sites that cover various of niches. I found that sandbox only trigger on certain niches. Have you notice that?

Some niches that i see trigger the sandbox are insurance, faucet, etc.

It is the sandbox was setup to trigger on certain niches only or else? Can someone clarify this?

    The Google sandbox is used to describe a behavior of Google’s ranking algorithm in that it tends to temporarily decrease the page rank and ranking for a website with a recently registered domain name and/or a very new link profile . What this effectively means is that the Google algorithm makes newer sites earn trust before they begin to rank high. In some niches this can take quite some time for a new site to achieve high rankings even if they have a similar amount of links to an older site with older back links.

    I have new site ranking 1st in 2 week with the same building backlink technique as my new site that is nowhere rank in google. Both target different niche with almost the same competition volume. How to explain that?
