What factors do YouTube take into account when ranking videos?

  I've started getting links for optimised You Tube videos and they are really helping with not only boosting the rankings internally on You Tube but also on Google too. So for me I can say they work.

Not trying to cause an argument but I saw a video about a month ago that was 3rd on page 1 for make money online, uploaded 6 hours ago with only 30 views? I don't get youtube but would love to be able too!

  use your keyword phrase and try to make the title compelling.
  
  Think of it as the headline for an Ad. Make people want to check on it to find out more.

  Make sure your url is visible during the video. This will help get you more traffic if your video is shared or embeded onto other websites.
