Is My Next SEO step correct?

Aright, so I head a team of content writers based out of India and we're looking to expand. We've started ranking on the 3rd page of Google for a competitive keyword "Content Writing India" and the second page of google for "social media marketing bangalore".

Now I'm planning to beef my staff up a bit more on the SEO side to build more backlinks for about three months. Probably about two people on it full time.

Anything else I should be getting these guys to be doing while they're with us, or is that good enough?

I'd also really appreciate any pointers to rank higher on the SERPs. Preferably something I can delegate to these guys.

Thanks
Neil

If your domain is aged, my advice is, beat the crap out of it with links.

Seriously. Just bludgeon it to death with as many links as you can find.

Okay, maybe not that money, but don't be scared of links! And try a few pumper blogs or article networks like UAW and you'll see some solid results.

I agree with Eric. Matured, Aged domains can handle alot more than newly registered domains. Today, I only buy aged domains as I got sick of the slow rankings that came with new domains.

So if your domain is matured, blast it with some good backlinks. Order some forum profile backlinks, get some blog comments, and consider getting some bloggers to write about your site for a fee. This is a great way to get high PR backlinks to your sites for cheap.

        1 resources I use:

LinkFromBlog - buy blog reviews, advertise on blogs (about $0.50 to $1 per post)

Another tip: Dont vary your anchor text. Make them all the main keyword you want to rank for.

You guys are content writers, right? So start banging out some content. Explain how important it is to your audience give them a case study.

Once you have tons of content on your site, hit the links.

For starters you can stop sharing your keywords with others on an open forum. Do you have any idea how many wannabe seo experts with souped up senukes are coming after you now?

Seems like quite a competitive niche, and well, its a pure service business. The REAL SEO experts would go for the direct sales/cash/advertising/domain sale way.

      Just my thoughts

PS I do agree, I debated that over for 15 minutes, but figured I'd be specific for better suggestions

Oh sure. We're just dying to get in on that content writing in India and Bangalore.

There are keywords and then there are real KEYWORDS.

Both keywords don't have much competition, simple articles plus forums signatures will helps you in getting good position. Don't try too hard just basic link building techniques helps in getting good SERP.

I agree. Unique well written content is a huge plus. Also the ol' whois route. Add links to all your social media aps. Make sure to link all sites to each other. Add adsense to your sites...not sure if this helps.

The effectiveness of the backlinking srtategies I've used are in the following order: 1. Profle Links (lost of them built over time , say, 10 per day), 2. Article Submission, 3, Social Bookmarking, 4, Web 2,0 articles 5. RSS Submission. Of course there's also Forum posts and Blogging but as I say that's how they have ranked for me and helped achieve page 1 Google status
