Hi folk,

I am working on a site for a relatively competitive keyword. The site was on position 29 on Google UK and now is on 11, however, I am struggling to break into the first page.

Any tips on how I could do this?

I've already tried the conventional things such as articles, blog comments, profile links, etc.

One thing that people never seem to think of is waiting. Why don't you just try and wait for a while? Rankings don't happen overnight

Or you could just build some strong backlinks and add some more content. It ain't that hard!

Only thing is I've been working with this site for almost 8 weeks now!

Abul, try to focus on content, more content, more often and NO keyword stuffed. From my latest analysis it seems Google is focusing more in UNIQUE updated content.

There is no need to stuff keywords all over the place, just update often (daily at least) and focus on unique articles focused on users.

Then, try to get G bots to go there as soon as you update the site.

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

I would try and put more content out. Another thing that regularly works is building links to the links and ensuring the links you built are indexed.
