Hey guys,

I just created a new website. I created it yesterday. I worked on it pretty much the entire day. I desperately wanted to get it indexed by this morning but that hasn't happened.

If anyone has any tips for me please advise. I've used google xml sitemap, pinged it, dug it etc.,

Why do you want to get it indexed in a day? There's no benefit really in doing this.

I wouldn't get caught up with indexing and ranking for a brand new site. Push all that aside and work on the site for a good month first or it will become a big distraction.

Also new sites show up indexed and not indexed for awhile. They will flop back and forth.

I have my reasons for needing it indexed today. I won't really get into that. I just need it indexed asap.

I've sent tweets on twitter. Still, nothing.

Well articles can take a while to show up as backlinks. Can you find some high PR blogs related to your niche and comment on them?

I will definitely look into this now.

    Try this:

Create a new twitter account. Put your URL in the URL field and write a keyword optimised bio.

Your website will be ranked the same day - guarantee.

If you have another site, then link back from that. Ask some of your friends to link your new site. Just as others mentioned, use twitter. Write a press release and submit it to i-newswire.

google xml sitemap and a couple of backlinks always does the trick for me. Typically see results in under 48 hours.

If you are using wordpress, check your privacy settings to make sure you aren't blocking SE's.

Also (if you are using wordress) install something like statpress reloaded so you can see if SE bots are hitting your sites. This is important. If you're not seeing SE bots, something is wrong.

Once the bots hit your site and are aware you exist it's out of your hands.

Why the delay for some and not for others when using the same tricks get indexed, who knows. My guess is it has to do with the numerous google data centers. It just takes time to spread the word through the google matrix.

Not that hard getting a site indexed fast.

Answer is the popular social bookmarking places (digg, twitter, etc.)

Throw up 30 social bookmarks, ping them and you should be indexed really fast.

Not to forget Sitemap on the blog

    Hi Bill!

Here's what i do to get my new websites indexed fast (if you're in a hurry).
    1) Create a blogger blog with the same domain name as your actual website.
    (i.e. actualwebsite.blogspot.com for actualwebsite.com)

    2) Write one unique article of 500 words following keyword density rules of around 2%.

    3) Use your keywords as the anchor text linking back to actualwebsite.com.

Go to Yahoo and set up an account if you don't already have one, and then add your Blogger blog rss to "my yahoo". Google crawls Blogger very often and then Yahoo follows your feed, so your new website is going to be indexed for both search engines pretty quick (in two days or so for me).

Hope that helped. The above methods may work too. I'm actually less concern about indexing because it's a natural process. So i do all of these with the mindset to rank the sites for the keyword so... i guess you should be doing all these to get ranked, not to get indexed. Let us know if it works for you!

NEVER over promote a new site or it will get SANDBOXED in the supplemental index ( not ranked )

You can use pubsubhubbub if it's wordpress or there is a manual installation if you don't have wordpress.

Add one good piece of content to your site every day, until it gets indexed, then you can promote it a little more, but don't go crazy until after a few months, gradually increase promotion or you'll raise red flags in Google if Google is what you care about and at this stage, I still would care what google thinks.

Forget about webmaster tools and creating xml sitemaps. Thats all BS.

    Do this.

http://www.ismysiteindexed.com (enter your URL then open each lookup site that is listed)
    URL Submission - Bing
    Site Explorer - Submit
    Add your URL to Google
Blog and Ping Tool - Use Pingler.com to Drive Traffic your Blogs and Websites

I do this with every site and its always indexed in less than 24 hours.

I have a very simple proven way that worked 100% every time i try it!!
After you finish your site do 2 things:
1- Add your site to google analytics
2- Add a sitemap of your site to google webmaster tools
That's it, no need for backlinks
I do this in the evening and my site is indexed in the morning

Send it to google webmaster tools, lest it stay in what it's called SANDBOX, for three months or so.

But If you are using Wordpress template, it gets indexed right away...

My new sites get indexed within 24 hours usually, using Wordpress that is. Make sure nothing is blocking the indexing like a no follow rule, or robot.txt file that you forgot to remove. Providing you follow everyones advice above it should get indexed really quickly by Google.

Add a site-map of your site to Google webmaster, I works for me every time, or it indexed by accident and I thought Google webmaster is the reason !
