Is Market Samurai Worth it?

I've been trying out the trial version of market samurai for a couple of days and it's very nicely done and puts it all in a neat package. However, so far I haven't found any functionality that I couldn't get for free using google adwords keyword tool or other free tools.
Having heard so many rave reviews of MS, I'm sure I must be wrong. So, other than the convenience of having it all in one place, what does MS do that you can't get from other tools for free?

I can use MS to create a 1,000 profitable keyword list in under a hour, that's 1,000 different money-making keywords in a hour, I don't think any more needs to be said.

Google Keyword tool is awesome, but Google has changed the functionality of it’s keyword tool recently .

Even though Market Samurai fetches its data from Google, the searches are based on per day in MS whereas in google, its based on monthly searches

The fact is this piece of software let you not just discover profitable and buyer keywords, but monitor the strengh of your competition, analize the amount of backlinks you #1 competitor has, and the strenght of it.

So the $149 investment worths it...

Personally, it's a must have tool.

Use the trial in depth and do a list of things you REALLY need MS to do. If the list is worth it, go ahead and buy it.

the best thing about MS is that you can get the result of daily search but in Google adward tool you can get the monthly search results of a key ward. though MS gather information from Google but you can also get some other benefits from this soft ware.

It's quite a good tool, I purchased it and have been playing around with it for a couple of months now, the usability is poor, like it freezes a lot and is incredibly slow, but it's good for cleaning up keywords you want to target based on searches, CPC and traffic estimates.

Ok, so there have been some good replies but so far I haven't seen any that revealed something MS can do that I can't do for free with google adwords keyword tool or google search. With money so tight I need a really good reason to plunk down the money without a compelling reason.

Here's the responses so far. Feel free to refute:

      >>Even though Market Samurai fetches its data from Google, the searches are based on per day in MS whereas in google, its based on monthly searches

FREE: Use GAKT and divide the answer by 30 to get the daily search

      >>Other great factors of Market Samurai includes the ability to instantly find related articles to your keywords to help bulk up your site. >>(Content is KING as we all know)

FREE: Use google "related searches" feature

      >>Also with Market Samurai you can use the Keyword generator to get ideas of additional pages for your niche site. This is important because >>Pages, and their focus will help your site rank for various key words.

There's some serious flaws with MS
        - Backlinks is based on Yahoo site explorer which underestimates the general no of links but includes blogroll links. As such it doesn't reflect a true figure.
        - Includes outdated metrics such as page rank in its SEO top ten competition module. PR isn't important.
        - Search volume based on adwords KW tool. Any search engine marketer knows adwords KW tool figures are inflated compared to the true value.

Having said that the top ten matrix captures the general essence of what you are up against quite well, just use it with some more serious backlink tools such SEO Moz or Majestic.

For me, Market Samurai is worth it, because for every project I use it to :-
          - generate a great keyword list,
          - checkout the top ten websites ranking for each keyword, including the backlinks and anchor text on the backlinks,
          - Find out the search volume and commercial value of each keyword,
          - All the other keyword factors, (checkout the tutorials to get all the factors)
          - Monitor every keyword I am targeting in the SERPS on one screen, (the export feature is good for keeping a record of your progress)

There is a lot more I am not using it for, but just the time saving and keeping every project all together does it for me!

          Cheers

Don't get me wrong, your post provides value - and I already own MS - but I'm just wondering if I've been missing out on potential revenue
CP, you may wanna go back and edit out the links in the post you quoted. Otherwise they may just tank the whole thread.
