Can anyone recommend a detailed course on how to do keyword research?

I am talking about a detailed, step by step program that will teach you the hows and whys. Video would be best and absolutely with the new version of the Google Keyword Tool.

I have read as much as I could find on the topic but still feel like I don't have a good grasp on how it all works. Most of the videos I have found are using the old Google tool.

Thanks.

I don't know of a course off the top of my head that focuses 100% on the art of keyword research I'm sorry to say.

Is there something specific about the process of keyword research that you find hard to wrap your finger around?

No need a paid course. Just use Google Key word tool. In that one select "exact" and "local" search terms to do a basic keyword research.

Use google keyword tool and wonderwheel to know and search for your keywords.

    I do these.

And if you want to know which keyword is searching at worldwide, use google insight search. Just type in google, "Google insights". Click on the first result, enter your search term and know which keywords are more important.

What I use to find killer keywords.

Market Samurai - top keyword research tool
Google Keyword Tool - clarify results
Google Insights - analyse trends and origins of traffic
Google & SEOquaker - analyse competition

    And that's it!

      Hi,

Do you think seoquake gives better results than market samurai's competition module? What is difference?

Keyword research is at the heart of any SEO campaign, because the keywords selected for research are included in the website copy in your PPC campaigns and other promotional campaigns website.

This, in my opinion is the 'BEST' niche and keyword research course ever. I don't know if you are having the same issue's I was experiencing with KW Research and finding specific Micro Niche's to market to, but this course has cleared it all up for me. Never again will I struggle in finding the best and most viable niche's to market to and the keywords associated with those niche's. I now understand how they go hand in hand and how one weak side of the scale will through my whole game off kilter. Covered in this course is every possible way of thoroughly researching and finding the best keywords for the best niches to go after. The best part is that the tools covered are 'ALL FREE'. No need for any fancy BIG $$ tools. Once you get things going, some of the BIG $$ tools can serve as complimentary assets but to begin with NOT needed! There is a money back guarantee, so check it out for yourself here: The Art Of Finding Fast Profit, High ROI Niches & Offers | Elite Niche Research (this is not an affiliate link - just FREE info!)
    Good Luck, swtp43

Keyword research is easy but helpful only if done effectively. You should use Google adwords keyword tool or keyword suggestion tool from wordtracker.

There are many online tools available nowadays for performing seo for a site properly. For performing effective keyword research, there are google adwords keyword tool, market samurai, wordtracker, etc.
well, now as far this question is concerned, it's totally upto one who is performing seo for a site. If he/she wants to do seo for a long term basis, one could choose more competitive keyword for the site.

    Hi there,

Try this for a video course on keyword research. It is from a marketer called Shane Melaugh, his stuff is awsome IMO. I'm currently on his list and very glad to be there!

Yeah it is an opt-in, but it is certainly worth it to view his free keyword research guide. He show's you how to actually do your Keyword research without the use of paid tools. This way you should have a great understanding of how to do your research before moving on to paid tools.

The link is Here (Non AFF link)
