Hii, all respected warriors,

I am doing the SEO for this site motel6oceanside.com.

I have done all the off page activities that are related to my site.

But my site can not ranking in SERP for my keywords.

So please tell me what on page changes in my site are needed to rank well in SERP.

Thanks all in advance.

I don't like the title tag but then again you couldn't pay me to stay at a Motel 6 (no offense).

"stay at one of the best hotels in Oceanside...." isn't very catchy, and it's misleading. Even if you rank high, how many people do you think will immediately click off of it once they see photos of the hotel?

Motel 6 sells on their cheap price, not on the quality of the hotel. The title tag should reflect that. Plus, you could probably benefit from adding "California" to the tag.

I just checked keyword density real fast for "oceanside hotel." I see that in your signature for the site. That 2-word phrase isn't even listed in the top 28.

You're probably doing a good job with off-site SEO, but your ON-SITE SEO is non-existent!

Actually, you off-site SEO is lacking too... You only have 80 backlinks.... And make sure you're making all of your backlinks point to the WWW. version of your domain...

Other than that I think you have a good looking site. Just need more content... You HAVE to get your keywords in there somewhere...

        CHEERS!

Good points, but "oceanside hotel" might not do him all that much good. He needs "oceanside california hotel" if he's going that route (though it's not a highly searched term). "oceanside hotel" is not specific enough and he's begging to get clicks from people looking for an oceanside hotel in random cities.

Is this only because it is what's already indexed in Google? From my understanding it doesn't matter as long as the site 301s the other version. ?

It seems to me that you need to carry out some on-page updates.

Like people are saying, optimise your tags and update the URL structure.

Make sure you buils quality, relevant backlinks also.

I just took a look at the top 10 for "Oceanside Hotels" and it appears that your competition is semi-tough. I think they are beatable but it is going to take you some time.

You need to build authority in the eyes of Googe by picking up some high quality back links.

What I would do if I were you is to find a whole bunch of high PR travel related websites, email the webmasters at these websites and ask them if you can contribute to their website by writing them a unique, relevant and high quality article...with 2 of your links in-tact of course. You may even find a few webmasters that will let you contribute more than once and these links will go a long way in boosting the position of your website up the search engines.

Keep picking up links and be patient. With time and hard work you will be rewarded.
