Backlinks: Bought or Outsourced?

I am at the point where I need quality backlinks. (Don't we all, right?)

Now, I see all of these WSO's and Warriors for Hire selling thousands of backlinks... you've all seen them.

Is that a good strategy, buying those backlinks or is it a waste of money?

- or -

Is it a better idea to outsource the backlinking to Odesk or something similar?

Scrape your links with scrapebox from a quality site and give list to an va in indea or a cheap country for labour or elance and so force with instructions e.g forum posts, social site sign up.

    Best method

I get many links because people use my software or mention my software. I don't do either really.

If you get the same links that everyone else is paying to have outsourced, don't you think the value to you will be rather low?

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

I do a backlink co-op to keep the pricing down. It's basically the same type of backlinking I do for my very own websites an they all rank on the first page of Google. Of course I start with keyword research which also helps. You can see more in my signature line.

    Ah. I like this answer.

Now, I can find someone (I'm sure) on Odesk. Any suggestions to what I need to ask? (I'm new to this backlinking thing.)

    Thanks...

Makes no difference alot of the time. Most of them will just use the same exact tools to leave the links that the offers on Warriors use. Its not really who does the links its whether they have any real boosting power and the kind of backlinks that you get.

When you see these thousands of backlink offers its mostly forum profiles. they come in the largest quantity have little or no pagerank on the page your create (how can it since a new profile page didn't exist before you created it) and often can't be foud by google until you backlink your weak backlinks.

They work in some niches and yet other people put up thousands and still are not on the front page.

I've used both software and outsourcing and the outsourced backlinks seem to perform better for me.
