Easiest way to get indexed? Take your blogs RSS feed and submit to Feedage. Then submit URL to Digg.com. You should be indexed within 24 hours. I'm 11-0 with this method, meaning its never failed me.

Ranking? Unless you are going after low competition keywords your going to have a hard time ranking straight out of the gate. You'll need some good on-page SEO and (depending on the competition) a few backlinks... or more.

Try making one of your articles in to a short video - presentation style. You can do this easily by bullet-pointing the main items then use something like Jing (TechSmith | Jing, instant screenshots and screencasts, home) to take the screencast. You'll need a microphone to do the voice-over and they are cheap to pick up if you don't have a built-in one.

Submit the video toYouTube making sure you put your link (full http://etc) in the description. Do a little bookmarking of the video as well.

Have found this works well for fast indexing.

    Yours,

    Andy.

I have a problem with my new site. Any help is appreciated. Yesterday I sent this message to Google (via google.com/webmasters/tools/reconsideration):

"Google has not indexed my new site. The reason is that this domain was registered by someone else and it's expired 7-8 months ago. I know how to get a new site indexed by Google in a few hours but this site won't like to get indexed. Please index my new site, thank you."

There are hundreds of links pointing to my site.
