What are your thoughts about Knol by Google?

So, I've recently discovered the Beta version of Google's Knol which is kind of their article directory.
I like it since links from there are dofollow and your article is published on the spot with no review.

Now comes the question - if it's Google's directory, do you think they take links published in articles in their Knol more seriously? Give them more weight? It is Google's after all.

Ideas?

Thanks guys,

I've used Knol. I put some of my old research material (geophysics experiments, hypotheses and confirmations) up there around a year ago. They have strict guidelines to maintain the quality of content.

5 bucks says they're creating this so that it can take up the first spots of its own results

I can see all the new courses now....''Make $5,7932.68 every single day on AUTOPILOT using the Google Knol loophole''

"Make $78,304.83 every day on complete AUTOPILOT buying targeted traffic from Google Knol''

It's great if you can get your content approved, but it is more difficult to do so than with other article directory sites.

How do you know if it's approved?
I've published 3-4 articles there so far and when I searched for them I saw them, that happened on the spot....so does that mean they were approved and up?

      Thanks,

        Thanks,
Pages that don't meet the quality standards are flagged and manually removed, I believe.

So far, the content quality is super high.

Be prepared to write a high quality article comparable to a Wikipedia's.

I don't know whether you can embed outgoing links back to your site or not. Hm.

Oh yeah, they do, but it's nofollow (source: Wikipedia).
