Keyword Issue

Ive recently been using Google's webmaster tools. I created a site for my real estate business. Google says my site is nicely optimized for "estate" but not real. Is estate enough? I was not trying to optimize for real estate but I have. I have a great amount of work left. Any and all advice is appreciated.

    Which keywords are you exactly aiming for? Real estate, estate, real estate in ga, homes in ga, etc? real estate has 823k global/246k local exact searches and estate has 40k/6k.

    You have a lot of work to be done if you want to rank high. Start building backlinks!

    You wouldn't want to optimize for just 1 word keyword anyway. You must be more specific. People searching will type more than 1 word. But the main reason for using more words in your keyword is to target a certain group of people.

    Google wouldn't take you seriously with just the word "estate" which has 37 million searches monthly. Even "real estate" has 30 million searches. You're lucky if you make the top 500 in Google even if you optimize your page to death.

    I suggest you start with 3 to 5 words keyword combo for much higher ranking and Quality visitors. You need to be more specific in the kind of people you want to attract to your site especially locally in your case could be a very targetted keyword combo.

    I tell you all this with reserve as I didn't check how many searches and the competitiveness was locally.
