Don't know where to start

I would like to set up an adsense site but do not know where to start.

-Do I need a hosting account
-Do I need to learn web development software such as dreamweaver or frontpage
-Is there any costs getting stated
-does it make sense to buy a site that is already set up for cheap

Any help would be much appreciated!

    First off, I'd recommend doing some keyword research. Find a non-competitive niche with a few thousand searches per month(4,000-8,000 Monthly Searches). Make sure you find domains that use the keyword.

    Example...

    My magical keyword is ipad. (Don't bother with this one *hint*)

    Make a domain such as ipadforfree.com or something.

    Do your research, then go from there.

      That is a bad idea to put "ipad" in a domain. I think you can't add brand names.

    You can start with just the free blog sites and then work your way into your own domains, hosting account, a good place for a newbie to start in the 30 day challange it's free. You don't need dreamweaver or frontpage most people just make websites with wordpress.

    Yes this is the right time to start as soon as possible.For that either you will have to purchase a site or maintain a blog or make your own slite and purchase a web hosting space.But site is more flexible than a blog.For developing your site you need dreamweaver , frontpage and .net or php,etc.And register for google adsense account.Then start..........good luck.

    I recommend you do what tonyaphx said. Use a free wordpress blog or something of the sort to help you learn the basics. Then after a week or two once you get the hang of it buy some shared hosting and a domain to start work on, and you can also transfer your old one to the hosting. Also there are tons of tutorials on wordpress site building, just try googling it.

      I would suggest buying a site already setup, preferably one that already has income, if you can afford the price.

      The only cost related to setting up an adsense website is the domain name and hosting. You can get unlimited hosting at the famous hosting companies like hostgator.

      Have you already have adsense account? They are pretty stringent these days, so you better if you don't have any. You can start by using blogger or hubpages. Setup a blog or hub, consistently ad content to it for about a month, then apply.

    You can use free hosting, such as wordpress.com or blogger. However, I will always recommend using your own domain (and a hosting account)

    Knowing a little about HTML is always a plus, but you don't really need it. You can use wordpress.org. Writing your content is almost as using a text processor.

    If you are using free hosting, the cost is 0.
    If you go for your own domain, about $10 for the domain registration + around $10/month for hosting (this depends on the hosting company)

    Yes. It is a good option, specially if the site has already backlinks, more that PR0, or is already making some money.
    But before you buy it, make some keyword research to make sure you are in a profitable niche.

    Then you will need content you can write it yourself or hire someone to do it for you.
    Then just start to market your blog.
