SEO Spyglass - Help

I've recently purchased SEO Spyglass - but things are n't working as they should.
The free version used to work a treat - but since i upgraded to the paid - nothing works.

I enter a domain name - e.g. www.gold.com - i normally just select Yahoo - it then brings the results in. This part is fine - but when i then try to get more information EVERYTHING fails - i get no data - so basically the tool is worthless to me like this.

I have a Yahoo API key and i have humanized my search behaviour - but still no joy.
I've contacted their help numerous times - but all they do is send me links to guides i've already read.

Does anyone have any ideas??

    SEo spyglass will let you see exactly how your competitors got their rankings in major search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing, so that you can mimic their strategy and ultimately outrank them.

    Maybe you just missed what it is asked; like the url of your competitors.

    You're supposed to be able to do backlink research - and that is where the problem lies - sure i can get the url's of the links - but if there is no information on them - they are useless - especially when there are 9,000 to weed through. I need to know what is worth my time looking at.
