Creating a blog on an edu site?

Does anyone know of any edu sites that allow you to create a blog on their site without you being a student?

I had come across someone in the services section of WF that said they do this. But I can't find them and have no idea what the edu site they were using is.

Thanks!

I used to do this but someone decided to release an ebook with the method that I used which shut down pretty much all of them (I had a ton to use).

That's what happens when people get greedy...

Yeah, they aren't easy to find (other than spanned to death ones)

      Search for this in google:

      Inurl:blog inurl:.edu "keyword"

A little playing around with that will yield good results for the patient.

      Cheers

Ya true. You share your method with the world and it quickly gets shut down.

Another way may be to register/buy your own EDU site(s). In a flash of inspiration/insanity (not sure which yet) I bought a WSO recently showing how to get edu.xx (where xx is a country code I won't reveal) for $2.50 a pop. The WSO is closed but you might be able to garner the method from somewhere else.

Me too! PM me if you find any.

I was trying the google operator method and found about 1000 and tried to sign up last year.

I got two setup and ran them first rate white hat last year. Problem... at the end of the school year, they wiped all blogs and made it so no public sign ups could happen.

Quick question...did they wipe all the blogs or did they wipe all the blogs that were created by non-university people (ie. people without their edu email addresses)?

              Daniel,

I saw this being offered on fiverr. Your own .edu blog for $5. I never investigated further but that is how it was offered.

They wiped all students. Everything. You can tell because they have a directory of all blogs. I noted all the URLs only 2 or 3 of the 100s appeared the next year.

Must have been really popular with Internet Marketers
May I ask which university this was, as I have never had that problem before. My oldest edu blog is close to 21 months old now...and there are blogs even older than that on the system.

Actually what I have seen is several schools move their blogging systems to blogger or blog spot....which is a real bummer.

You can occasionally find a couple of open edu blogging systems that allow non-university types to register for a edu blog...that's how I found the current edu flavor of the month Eastern University - but similar systems have eventually been shut down by the admins.

Eastern University is becoming very popular, thats where the add-on blog I was giving away is located.
I would suggest people hurry to open their blog before they close this offer to the public.
