Hello Warriors!

I am building my website for one keyword "BMW Angel Eyes" and the google search result is About 246,000.

So I am building my backlinks using forum sig, blog comments, article writting and blogs writting, and squidoo.

After about 1 month work, I am on page 2 already, so I want to know in average, for a competitive level like 250,000 on google, how many backlinks do I need to get my page ranks to page 1 on google?

Thanks.

it all depends how many backlinks your competitors have. Make sure you anchor text is "BMW angel eyes"

Is there anyway I can find out how many back links does the No1 has?

For example, we both have good contents and he has 500 backlinks, so if I create numbers of backlinks over him, so I will be likely to rank better than him?

It's not all about backlinks but quality of backlinks, quality of content, how often you update, how much you link out, etc.

yeh there are definitely lots of factors that influence rankings. If you use Market Samurai you can use the SEO Competition to analyse the top 10 results for any keyword. It will tell you things like domain age, number of back links, whether keyword is in title tag, domain etc

You can also use toolbars like SEOquake. It uses yahoo to pull link data.

      thanks for your help.

the page is a product page, so it only links within my main domain, and there is no much updates neither.

I have checked both my page with my competitor's page, we have very similar contents.

So if I do more backlinks and get some higher PR backlinks, so this page will more likely to rank higher, right?

And how about my blog writtings, if this method effective?

      PS. My blog is self-hosted.

stumbleupon and yahoo answers are both nofollow, so do they still help?

In general, do nofollow backlinks help on this matter?

regarding the quality of the backlinks are all about the backlink's PR and whether this website is relevant to my niche, is this correct?
