Getting Backlinks Indexed: OVERKILL! My Strategy Works for ME!

Someone just sent me a PM asking a question regarding INDEXING BACKLINKS!!! There have been SOOOOOOOOOO many threads lately on this topic that it's OVERKILLLLLL!!!

I'm going to post it as a thread for others to read as well. It was typed quickly and is a little sloppy, but gets the point across... I'd retype it, but I'm SICK of retyping it LOL!!! The stuff mentioned below WORKS FOR ME! I've experienced positive: more+faster indexed backlinks! I want the credit I deserve, as does EVERYONE else who takes the time to build backlinks! I mean they only impact where you're ranking in for your targeted search terms!!!
Hey WARRIOR!

I've done a BUNCH of different things regarding getting my backlinks indexed, backlinking my backlinks, RSS feeds, etc.

Every single time I create an Article, blog comment, social bookmark, forum profile (i think these are wack so I don't make them anymore), etc., that has my backlink on it - I copy and paste those URLs into textpad/notepad and save/add to these huge .txt files that contain the locations to my backlinks. I've got keep several text files:

PingList.txt
AlreadyPinged.txt
Web20+Article_Accnts_.txt
RSS.txt (all the feeds I've created)

I won't save each Social Bookmark created because I use automated tools like Onlywire.com and Ping.fm to blast out a bunch of bookmarks, etc., not worth it to me... Maybe it is to you. That's why I keep the file "Web20+Article_Accnts_.txt" it contains my dashboard/profile/whatever it's called that has ALL of the recently added links/bookmarks/reviews/articles/blog posts/comments/whatever like so:
HTML Code:
http://www.diigo.com/user/USER
http://www.tumblr.com/tumblelog/USER
http://identi.ca/USER/all
http://brightkite.com/people/USER
http://www.linkedin.com/in/USER
http://friendfeed.com/USER
http://www.plurk.com/USER
http://USER.jaiku.com/
http://www.delicious.com/USER
http://goarticles.com/cgi-bin/author.cgi?C=xxxxxx
http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=USER
http://www.amazines.com/view_author.cfm?authorid=xxxxxx
http://www.articlesbase.com/authors/USER/xxxxxx
http://www.thefreelibrary.com/USER/Contributed-xxxxxx
http://whydo.net/component/k2/itemlist/user/USER.html
http://articles.addurlfeed.com/user/USER/news/
http://www.linkdaddy.org/submit/users/875/USER/1.html
.........
Ping, meta index, re-submit different titled RSS feeds containing all these links whenever I add a bunch of stuff to these sites... It seems to work for me.

In the past, I've created hidden pages (not really "hidden" but there aren't any links on the actual blogs that point to these pages - however these pages are indexed) on multiple blogs and add these huge lists of URLs to multiple pages. I ping and Meta Index EVERYTHING! I like SEO Fast Indexer. I will also create RSS Feeds that include 75-100 links to the locations of my backlinks (as well as the Blog page addresses that point to those backlinks). Backlinking of backlinks.

That's a little overkill in my opinion. I'll create the RSS Feeds (manually or links2rss) use your anchor text in the feed title and link titles - Blast to RSS aggregators (manually or RSSBot).

I recently posted a thread with like 97 good pinging sites (pretty sad - I compiled a list of 300+ and less than 100 are actually good and working and accepting). I'll ping every single backlink. I'll meta index each URL to 150-1000 statistics sites (depending on how I'm feeling
:p ).

The point is that I want
Googlebot, Yahoo Slurp, Netcraft, MSNBot, The web archive (IA Archiver), Alexa (IA Archiver), etc. (a crawlind, spidering, indexing BOT) to stumble across the links, check em out, and index them (or re-index them) so that I get credit for MORE of my backlinks FASTER!!!

Does this make sense?!? I'm battling with ProxyFire and Scrapebox right now, so I know this is sloppy, but I HOPE this gets the point across to some of you!!! HOPEFULLY!

CHEERS & GOOD LUCK!!
:p

    Thanks for that.
There is a post above somewhere asking how to get indexed fast - I think you have summed it up nicely for him.

I wouldn't go to such links to get profile links indexed. The whole point of profile links imo is that they're easy to get and fast. If I need to build backlinks to them, then I think it all becomes a little to complicated.

That's just my personal opinion. I can think of better ways to spend my time backlinking than indexing profile links. However, if you have the time and money to outsource and buy software for this, then why not, but I personally think it is overkill indeed.

If you read the post you would have noticed the part where I said:

I don't do this for every single backlink I've ever made! But I do try to keep tabs... B/c when I start working on a new site, I've already got a HUGE list of sites/URLs that I can build new links to new sites on!!

Have you seen better results with this?

I started keeping track, pinging, indexing, & feeding my backlinks rather recently. I was digging deep and creating many high PR dofollow backlinks in a very competitive niche. The simple fact that I was working my a$$ off to rank for some targeted search terms in a competitive niche was all I needed to push me to do a little extra work.

It's pretty easy and not very time consuming, so why not?! Like I said, I think it's a good habit to get into so that you can retrace your footsteps later on a new project.

I noticed I was getting credit for many backlinks pretty d@mn quickly. Unfortunately, I've never done a case study: building up similar backlinks for similar sites. One can just sit and let time take its toll - One can do what I've described above.... In terms of backlinks made/found and the time frame.

If someone wants to do a case study! Do it! And post them results! I'd be curious to see

I've had good results with this technique, so I'm going to continue to do what has been working for me.

The whole purpose of this thread was to give a little more information to all those that have been creating the dozens of "Indexing" threads that have been popping up DAILY!

          CHEERS!

DAMMIT YUKON! I wish you asked me for the list YESTERDAY! I emptied the recycle bin this morning LOL! I'll dig one up.

    Scott, that's cool no problem.

I'm testing some new code for validating URLs, thought I would add that to my software I'm working on. The code works good (just break any url), I just wanted to test a couple If you had them handy.

Do you know any ping services that accept mass pinging?

So for example i have 1000 links and I want all these to be pinged and indexed, is there any service or software where I can dump all these links and they get pinged instead of pinging 1 link at a time as this is very very time cunsuming.

      Thanks,

I basically gave up on pinging a long time ago since it didn't seem to improve the results, and Stephen has said his Meta Indexer is "not as effective" for any 2.0 sites, or anything really that isn't your domain. I tried his 3k list against about 50 2.0 sites + profile links and there was 0 effect after about a week.

What has been working for me is making RSS feeds though. It usually indexes about 50% each blast. I do notice that an index check of those links a month or two later shows they are no longer indexed... Do you get better results than 50% doing rss + ping + meta indexing?

I don't tool around with forum profile links - the whole angela/paul packet stuff) - I guess it works for some but I don't waste my time with it. I waste my time finding loads of PR3-7 blogs to comment on - Some autoapprove some not. Articles I add to directories (that get approved obviously or I wouldn't have a link back to that article).

In terms of the Social Bookmarking, I just blast some links every now and then using Onlywire and Ping.fm. Above I posted the the links that I would ping and meta index - my Social Bookmarking user page URL. And Author dashboard or homepage on article websites. I built one RSS feed that contains these URLs b/c these URLs will never change... I'll submit that feed, ping, meta index, whatever, those links or feeds maybe once every couple of weeks depending on if I added anything new to those article directories or social bookmarks...

To me it isn't really a chore doing RSS Feeds, pinging, or meta indexing. I just set up a text file with all the URLs I want to do and hit start... Then go eat dinner or something!! Social Bookmarks I'm not too sure of. Some stick some don't, some fall some don't. I can say from my personal experience though that I have received credit from more social bookmarking sites for links than I did before I started focusing on getting my backlinks found.

Since this thread was started, Google made the algorithmic change to punish server farms. Has anyone noticed a change in their results? I'm just starting to promote and am looking for CURRENT best practices.

    Thanks,
