.WS domains for SEO

Hi fellow warriors,

Does anybody know if .ws domains have positive effect on SEO. Or, just for flipping, do they have value?

A POSITIVE effect? Well, not really, but it doesn't have a negative effect either. It doesn't matter what extension the domain is, it won't effect your SEO efforts.

  I've seen .ws domains rank well, but there is some debate on whether TLD's other than .com,.org, or .net rank as well. It really depends on what you're doing with the site.
  
  Also, there is some speculations that as exact match TLD's are harder and harder to come by that .ws domains will increase in value.
  
  There is sort of a raging endless debate of these topics. As always it's best to test everything yourself, as there are A LOT of people who don't know what they're talking about giving away a lot of nonsense advice.
  
  I personally think you can get good mileage out of a .ws domain, others will not agree.

  Oh, and if you plan on flipping the domain...go with .com, .org or .net.

Domain extensions aren't of any SEO value more than any other, but for flipping, a more 'traditional' extension would be best.

Like I said in another thread related to this topic, search engines don't discriminate against the extension of your site. People discriminate against it!

  LOL!!!! Just the people on the WF, actually. The real world could care
  less and is used to .tv, .info, .co, .us, etc. etc. etc.
  
  Resale value is in the mind of the buyer and is not SEO. How many
  of you would scoff at buying prchecker.info, and yet it is SEO'd
  to the max.
  
  Just one more reason why I think the mentality here is a little
  bit off. Then wonder why they are not doing so great.

it depends where you want to rank, globally .com .net .org seem to perform better,
other tlds will be usefull for country specific like .co.uk for the UK market
