Anyone else having Market Samurai issues?

Yup im also in Sa and having probs with Samurai. Have sent a helpdesk ticket but will be awhile until they get back to me. Issue not exactly the same but keyword research module not working for me with a couple of issues.

Thanks Wayne...nice to see a few other SA boytjies on here.

Adding the Adwords accounts helps but now I see the SEOV values in Rand which is kinda tricky cos I think in dollars when I'm online.

Also I don't think it's working 100% because some keywords are returning ' - ' for SEOT.

Yeah me too

I also received a download link with the latest version thats patched cause they said that google made an update and samurai had problems accessing the adwords info. Hopefully we all set to go now. Busy installing update for Samurai...

Yea I logged a ticket. Only problem is they are based in Aussie and it's already Saturday morning there. That means 48 hours of no support.

Maybe I'll just post my keyword search requests here, and you guys can hit me back with the results

What version are you running Marketing Merit?
I'm running 0.87.25. Wonder if it's related to that.
Mine also stopped working last night. Was about 10pm (GMT +2)

Yep, that's the same version as myself TB! I tried using it at circa 11pm GMT last night so similar situation to yourself.

Will log a ticket but am sure that we can't be the only ones with this problem.

UPDATE

Was just going to log a ticket but found this on the support site as an open/ongoing problem. The only difference is the version .23 instead of .25 but updates don't appear to have caused/solved problem thus far.

We have had a recurrence of the No Suggestions issue.

Google's Keyword Tool is, in some instances, returning no results for valid keywords.

We are investigating why this is the case, as it does not appear to be an issue on the application front - the results from Google are being correctly interpreted.

Yes, when I click analyze keyword I got this message:
There was an error from the adwords server. If this problem persist, clearing your system browser's cookies may help.

I have done that many times and nothing.

I am in Florida so may not be the location.

  Same issue here in the US. Seems some folks are clicking right along, others are getting the error message. I logged a ticket over a week ago. Got the suggestion to remove the program and delete two application data folders, then re-install. I did. No luck--same error message.

This possible solution was posted by DerekSemmler on a similar thread. He suggested that by adding your Adwords account details the problem may be resolved. It worked for me and some others but not for TB unfortunately.

If you want to try this, as Derek suggested ( I can't take any credit for this!!) then go to:

File > Settings> Accounts

and enter your Adwords account details.

Hey,

My MS software has pretty much packed up and im so frustrated as this is such an important tool to me.

I received a message from the helpdesk saying uninstall then re-install which ive done 3 times BUT its the same, I really dont know how else to do the keyword research so its abit of a kick it in the NUTS.

It was fine for months then all of suddden it started playing up....
I just cannot get it to find keywords for me, i keep getting a message saying google may be updating blah blah blah, ive got 3 laptops and its packed up on all of em!

Im waiting for answers in the meantime anyone know anything else similar in terms of use ?

I was having the same problem when trying to generate keywords. I had to add my Google Adwords account information into the settings area and it started working again for me.

EDIT: It's working now, open MS, go to settings and insert and link your adwords account, I guess this is a temporary fix.

Ok, just an update.
Got a reply from Market Samurai and they sent me a link to download their latest version.
This appears to have sorted out the issue, although I still get a few keywords being returned with ' - ' for SEOT even when set to broad and monthly.
Apart from that though, appears to be looking better.

Hi Guys,

There are a few potential fixes for these sorts of issues.

1) As mentioned above, adding an Adwords account helps a lot of users

2) Open IE in Windows or Safari in Mac (even if you use other browsers normally) and ensuring that cookies are enabled, javascript is enabled and where possible adding google.com as an allowed site.

3) Clear your cookies in all browsers

4) Check that your system date and time are set correctly.

A good troubleshooting step is to try logging into the Google Keyword tool in IE or Safari (again, even if you use other browsers) and running a keyword search to confirm that Google is not asking for extra information for your adwords account and that keyword search works correctly in your browser.
