Hello everyone,

I have been creating backlinks to one of my new sites and I was wondering how long do blog comments links start to show?

Thanks,

Ben.

Depends on how new the blog is and if you are pinging the back links afterwards. Sometimes they will never show up. Other times could be an hour, could be a day, could be weeks and months!

    Hey,

Thanks for the replies. Some of the links have low pr5 or below. I do not ping them, maybe I should! Or look at my backlinking stragegy!

    Thanks!

  • Yahoo picks up the links quickly than Google. However, when Google crawls your site and you appeal to his eyes, first page is within reach....

Thanks to all who replied. I guess that no one can really say when they will become visable. I am working so hard to get backlinks and I feel that I am getting no where. Should I keep trying to get more backlinks from blogs or do something else? Please help. Thanks, ben.

Can't say an answer. But you can speed up with an indexing tool.

This is a very good, ligitimate question. So far the answers seem lame to me. For example, "It Depends." While I'm sure it does depend, so does everything else we do as Internet Marketers depend on something. Are the links going to a static URL, or to an active Blog? Is the URL a keyword, or just a made up name with no context to the intended market? Is is the ranking being sought fighting 2 million other web pages, most of them PR6 or above? See what I mean.

I sometimes wonder why one or two word answers to questions that require sincere, thoughtful answers are not simply deleted by the forum master? It is obvious that the person making the post reply is more interested in building his own post count, or establish yet another back link than in providing serious help.

For what its worth, that is my two cents.

I believe it's imperative to index each backlink. What good is paying someone to build you thousands of links if only 2% are ever found naturally. That's been my experience - my links don't get found unless they were placed on a page that is already indexed. It's not logical to individually ping or social bookmark each link when you're dealing with hundreds or even thousands. I believe you must use either software to handle this for you or outsource this part of the link building process. I think a lot of people spend too much money on buying links that never get found. Spend 25% of your budget on buying links and 25% on link indexing. Use the remaining 50% for other things, or just pocket it. I believe the results will probably be two or three times better than simply buying link packages and doing nothing.

Search Engine does not specify this. But if you can try pinging your backlinks like somebody mentioned here earlier. You will be able to notice something different.

It depends on the level of importance of the page and site where you placed your comment.

E.g Google regard your comment link as one of the backlinks if the site where it shows is of great importance and popular among visitors.

Google never index/accept the links if the site where your comment shows is a rubbish/useless one contrariwise.

So sometimes your link will be accepted by google very quickly(couple of hours or one day), while sometimes, it needs more time or even never be indexed.

You need to build a simple data form to record which ones reacts fast, and which ones are slowly shows or even useless.

Usually if you got a large amount of log comments done you should start seeing them within 8-11 days.

I wouldn't take some advice of pinging your backlinks directly.

I have a proven model to get backlinks indexed and shown by Google.

Index Time Frame: 2-4 days (on average)
You can access my free guide: See it here

Any questions, please send me direct messages and I'll help you.

I can promise if you follow this guide, you won't have trouble getting backlinks indexed.

Designerjack outlines a really great way to get the indexed. Another way is to convert them to RSS feeds and then to submit the RSS feeds to a whole bunch of aggregators and such. you can also bookmark the feeds on social bookmarking sites. The point is to place your backlinks on sites that are spidered FREQUENTLY. That means, high PR sites and sites that have LOTS of NEW CONTENT, ALL THE TIME (social sites).

Hi, I have been working on getting backlinks too, and its been under a month and alot of them still aren't showing, i think it depends alot of what your are doing to get them, comments etc i would say depend alot on site administrators as they can be deleted, its best i think to have and learn a wide range of ways to build natural links, that way we don't have our eggs all in one basket.
