    SEO refers to Search Engine Optimization. The purpose of SEO is to optimize your web pages for them to rank high in organic search engine results for specific targeted keywords. You'll want to achieve optimum result by doing on page and off page optimization.

    • On-page optimization refers to integrating primary keyword correctly in domain name, title tag, meta keywords, header tags (H1, H2 ..to H6), keywords placement within content. Good internal links among pages within your website and linking to relevant and good external websites / pages can strengthen the on-page optimization effort.
    • Off page optimization mainly means proper one-way backlink building (building up good link popularity). Diversify your backlink anchor texts as well as backlink sources can make the links to be more natural in the eyes of search engines. Keep in mind that getting your web pages involved in link farms can hurt your search engine ranking very much.
    Good keyword research, accurate competition analysis and proper SEO is equally vital to good search results ranking.

        I know there is alot of information out about what SEO is and when I first started, all the information was waaay over my head! I wrote a little guide to help the newbies because after I learned it, I realized it wasnt as complicated as others made it to be.

    SEO is a battle between you and the search engine. You do everything just right and you start winning the battle. Holy crap I am number 1 in the search engine. Just when you think you won and achieved greatness the "search engine" changes the game on you and you are once again losing the battle.

    Repeat this process several times a year and that is SEO. LOL...

    I don't need to mention who the guilty "search engine" party is... do I?

    Sorry I just needed to vent about something that happened to me back in May... that I apparently had bottled up inside still :rolleyes:
