I'm creating a website based around adwords traffic and was wondering how I go about creating content for 2 keywords that mean the same thing for example

diets to gain weight
muscle gain diets

I dont want to have to write 2 separate articles just to get a high quality score for both so how does this work? I understand traffic to a squeeze page doesn't work so you need a high quality content landing page to warm them up first

  • They don't mean the same thing to me.

Search both phrases in Google... do you get the same results? If so then they are the same, if not then they are not the same. Pretty simple concept.

Not everyone who wants to gain weight just wants muscle even though that seems logical.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. If you have 2 phrases that are closely related you can mix and match within a single article, if not then you'll need to write 2 articles.

The most important thing is to make sure what you do is worth doing. If it's not then don't do it. That just makes sense.

Ultimately Google decides which phrases to rank you... I've had targeted articles not rank at all for the phrase I was using... even though I was very meticulous... and yet rank higher for other terms in the article. This is because of the power of external incoming links... which you can not really control as your site grows.

Was the muscle diets just an example?

I would be very careful about the words you use and
the claims you make. Diet sites are highly scrutinized.

"Websites that promote genuine products with realistic results"

It would not matter if you made 2 websites. The words are basically
the same as far as adwords would be concerned. You would do one
website, but create 2 campaigns and see which one did better.

In fact, you would actually try a dozen similar phrases.

Create the page first, then come up with the phrases that works in adwords.

Your page may get better results for a different phrase.

Come up with one quality page that follows all the rules, then go from
      there.

Do you mean you spy traffics via adwords then you build site & write articles?

This site is meant to just be optimized for adwords and based around the muscle building market. I'm not trying to rank in google, if it happens great! Im going for quality score but I don't want to waste money or time to outsource 2 articles that are the same if Its counterproductive. A better example would be:

      build muscle fast
      build muscle quick

If im on the right track I guess one article would be:

10 tips to build muscle fast

      and the other

The perfect diet to build muscle quick

      right track??

like I said the site is specifically for adwords - i want to be an adwords pro!
