Keyword in the title, first paragraph, somewhere in the middle, then at the end (in a link if you are doing article marketing.)

Don't get too bogged down with it. Once every hundred words is plenty... if not too much. Focus on the reader and you will be better off.

2% max. SEO experts will say 5%, but that's way too much to be readable.

There is no formula. There is no reason to target any amount of keyword density for anything you write. That is kind of a backward approach to writing.

Yes, you need some words on your page that are about your keyword phrase you are trying to rank for, but if you focus your effort on achieving a certain keyword density percentage, you are going to miss out on a lot of benefits.

That is nice of you to ask about this for your friend.

      Agree.

Also, EzineArticles is loved by Google and at EA, they will not accept an article that has more than a 2% density.

Be sure the keywords make contextual sense when you put them in and that they aren't obvious.

    1% and use LSI's
Mention it once or twice in a 500-600 word article, use LSI's when appropriate.
Correct Title and H1 Tag with incoming Keyword Anchor text and you're golden.

I just don't forget to write my keyword in every paragraph of my article.

2-3% is good IMO. Some people say 5% but then you have to use it in every paragraph and kind of build an intro and conclusion around it using it twice there; makes it look poor.

About 2%, though keyword density is quite irrelevant nowadays.

John is right, I would say max 2% - but right nataurally and add in LSI words (which fit locally with what you are writing)

Google like real stuff, written for reader....

ya 2% density is good and would be accceptable in all article sites. In Article you have to include your primary keyword in title. Generate a unique Summary for articles and create a meaningful resource box.
