Hi there,

I have stumbled upon a free and easy tool, that can save you time whilst doing adsense related /micro niche/keyword research.

Adsense Potential Calculator

You just put in the Exact Global (or Broad if thats your thing)...check the possible position you believe you can achieve for that KW ( with Samurai or any other tools) and the CPC provided by the Google Keyword tool...

My estimates are very close to what they claim.

I would warn you that if the keyword tool show 0.05€ there is a posibility of an anomaly somewhere along the way, but it is not always the case.

I will for sure use this tool in the future...bookmarked.

Just my 5 cents...

Sincerely, Buyseech

Mind you...the CPC must be from the keyword tool and it has a built in equiation or something that show a general estimate of the % of the CPC you will actually be getting.

Sounds like fun. I'm assuming its based on adwords costs - google fees or something?

For a safe estimate, I use my own formula and just make it a macro in Excel, based on the following factors (it gives you the minimum potential):

    - # of searches
    - 50% safe estimate for traffic
    - CPC
    - 15% safe estimate for CTR
    - 20% estimate of what publishers receive

    Goes like this:

    [Number of exact monthly searches] x (.50) x [CPC] x (.15) x (.20) = estimated monthly potential

Noone said its a Noble prize winner

Of course you can make it yourself, but its convenient nonetheless.

Jonh Williamson : Your formula is alright as well, but you have some fixed % there, which the adsense potential calculator lets you vary, but if you have a steady template that you know converts..go for it.

What do you mean? You enter the data and click calculate and it should show the adsense revenue below.

Maybe it doesnt support some browsers? Which one are you using?

Or it might be that you must use 0.25 not 0,25 ...

Try it and let us know.

Pretty cool calculator, thanks for the share. As for the percentage of people clicking the number one spot issue, I think 42% sounds right. My solution for this low number though: find yourself a keyword that has the .net .com and .org still available, get them all, work your butt off to rank 1,2,3. now you just jumped from 42% to about 90%.
