Hey guys, on sites with Adsense as you know the click prices can vary widely. I was wondering if there is a way to block those Adwords publishers who are giving you the $0.05 clicks so you can just leave room for those who are willing to pay for bigger clicks. Anyone know?

It is hard to achieve because Google uses something called smart pricing. This is where if the person has clicked onto an ad and have spent a minimum time at the site before hitting the back button, the amount of money paid to the publisher is minimal.

You can not block every publisher but you can block public domains from leaving their ads on your site. If you concern with clicks is because some will be low. Then you simply need to target broader keywords in your title the first time. For these are the ones that are going to pay in the long run. However there is no way to gurentee that you will make more then 5 cents a click as wilson pointed out. You can limit it so long as you are only targeting high priced keywords to start with but do not focus on that entirely. Focus more on getting traffic to your site and not so much on how much that traffic will pay you for a click to your ads. Depending upon your niche you should be able to find several easy to target keywords with a good amount of traffic. The more of those keywords you can target the better. Since the competion will be low to start with. You should be able to get a front page listing with very little seo knowledge. Then it is just a matter of bringing in more visitors to your site. The more you can bring the more you can make.

Unlike affiliate marketing you get paid per click there for people are more likely to click off your page and go to one of these ads vs actually buying a product. What I suggest is pick a few products related to your niche so that you can promote those on the site as well. This way you can earn commissions from the sale along with the adsense income it would bring. Hope this helps best of luck to you.

This mainly depends on competition. When no high-priced ads compete for this particular ad place on your page, then low-priced ad wins.
Try to develop and improve your pages, fill them with useful meaningful content, and as visitors start to spend more time on your pages, the Adsense will send more expensive ads.

    Hi,

There is a way to do it and I'm constantly showing my clients. You have to provide a resource which contains content that fulfils the intent of the searcher, is beneficial and useful. You have to become the authority. The top advertisers will want to advertise with you and will be prepared to pay a premium.

You can also try just running one set of ads on your site. If you run one set of ads sometimes you get the highest priced ads displayed but ultimately it comes down to your site popularity.
