How can i rank first in YOUTUBE

Hi Seniors,

I would love to upload some videos in YOUTUBE. My question is simple. How can i take that videos in to first page.

Please help me to find the answer.

    The same SEO principles apply to youtube video pages as any other page. You optimize keywords in video titles and description, make sure that the content is useful and link worthy, and promote the heck out of it just as you would with any other page.

    There are some promotional methods that are somewhat unique to videos, like embedding opportunities at social networking sites (like youtube). It's the same principle behind syndicating articles, press releases and RRS feeds. As always, content is king, so make your video content link worthy to get the most out of your promotional efforts.

      I'm struggling with the content. How can the content effect in an Video. Whether its related or not, how can it effect for the rankings in an video. Impossible.Isn't it? :confused::rolleyes:

        SEO efforts are, to a certain extent, wasted when applied to poorly crafted content.

    Upload That Same video In Different video site with the same content and same keywords ...you video will be at top if you got lot of page impression

    This is something i would like to understand too.

    Would backlinking to the video do anything or does a video only rank due to amount of views? If so how do you get the views if you video is not ranking?

    One thing I have been experimenting with is editing the closed captioning portion that Youtube auto generates as it is a text file. It need to be cleaned up. The premise was that the text is 'searchable'. It is too soon to have an opinion on the results yet. Otherwise, tag the heck out of the video, especially long tailed terms.

    Aside from honing your written descriptions as mentioned above, you should also craft your video with three things that match your main keyword:
    1/ Name your video file with the main keyword
    2/ Put a title with the main keyword on the first few seconds of the video
    3/ Speak the main keyword in the first lines of dialogue.

    Youtube and Google have sophisticated text and speech readers which can tell if your video is on topic with the written description you give it. So, considering the whole package will help your video rank.

    Same SEO and link building principles as regular pages.
    Also - add friends and subscribers, you get do-follow links from their pages. Last time I checked, anyway.

    You need to get views to the video as well as backlinks behind it. Just add your video where ever you can with the keyword in the title. Post the video to your web 2.0 sites, write articles with your video link anchor texted. You can even leave blog comments with your youtube link as well. Hope this helps.

    A couple of things that I do to get top rankings for videos is to include the keyword as the video name, the keyword a few times in the video description, and then build backlinks as you do for any other site you want to get ranked.

    Don't over think it, don't over complicate it, just do it and you'll see it works :-)
