    If you want to pass the link juice/pagerank onto a new domain you'll need to research a 301 redirect (it's a web server setting).

    well 301 redirects may have a temporary effect on your page rank. That is because search engine bots are still updating your site.

      make sure you use a permanent 301 re-direct to the new url, and the link juice will be passed, but it may take time for Google to re-index the new website, so you may lose your google rankings for up to a few weeks

        Redirects simply pass a long your old SEO onto your NEW website. Pretty easy to setup and definitely worthwhile.

          I have a question on this.

          If I have page A and page B, page A has been around longer, B relatively new.

          If I do alot of SEO on PAGE B to get it indexed and ranked, and then do a 301 redirect from B to A(the older page) will I be hurt in rank and results(assuming EVERYONE else does not move up or down or do any updates)???

          When i say hurt, I mean for both A and B after the 301 redirect. I am new to the concepts behind google crawls and indexing etc..
