Supercache for WP, Shows Site Changes?

Hello warriors,

thanks for dropping by

I was doing some reading on super-cache as a plugin on WP so as to
speed up my site.

I was reading one article or post some days back and the person said that they were putting new content on their site, but Supercache was apparently still showing the older snapshot of his site to visitors.

He was not getting the benefit of the newly updated content he was placing on his site

anyone ever run into this problem?

If so, is there a way to get super-cache to acknowledge any updates
to the content of you site?

or any super cache issues you may have had?

thanks warrior mates! your feedabck is very much appreciated

Dano~

Switch to WP3 Cache, it has better features and is more consistent.

Supercache usually updates the index file when you post a new article. Also, one of the supercache options is that you can delete the entire cache when you publish a post, this is useful for smaller blogs, not so useful for larger blogs.

Supercache is good. W3C Total Cache is better, but for some reasons I am not using it, I am too lazy to set it up correctly. Guess I'm sticking with supercache for a while.

          thanks oliver

          what makes W3C better?

and thanks for the info on supercache, yes I've heard there are better options than supercache, just didn't know what they were, or why they were better

anyone have any "percentage" on the type of speed increase they realized?

          Dano~

          (reminds me of W3 schools!)

I can't really say technically what makes it better, but it just works and supercache does not work all the time.
