Backlinks According To Google

Hi there,

I have been internet marketing a few months now and have several sites up near the top of the first page on Google search. I have backlinks all over the place and Bing and Yahoo have acknowledged most of them, however Google has not. According to Google I have zero backlinks for any my sites. Some have over hundred and have been indexed with google for a few months but still google wont acknowledge any backlinks...Can anybody explain why?????

    What method are using to check your Google backlinks?

    Are you in webmaster tools?

      In google webmaster tools and google analytics they both record one or two backlinks while yahoo and bing record over hundred. I also use a firefox toolbar thing that is probably not as accurate but nonetheless each method I use google indicates very few of the actual backlinks I have.

    It can take 3-5 months for Google to show all your backlinks in webmaster tools.

    If you want to know your current backlinks, I'd use Yahoo, they show your backlinks almost instantly as soon as those links have been crawled & there is also Open Site Explorer

      Does that mean it takes 3 or 4 months before google takes those backlinks into account to rank the page as well?

        No they exist and are already being used by Google, if Yahoo can find them then so can Google...

    Google takes more time indexing backlinks. It is better to check backlinks by using Yahoo site explorer.
