Unapproved adsense?

5 years ago I tried to signup for adsense, but my site was rejected as it was in unsupported language (at that time).
When I try to login, it says:
Account Not Active
An AdSense account does not exist for this login, as it is associated with an unapproved application. For more information about your application, please review the message we sent to the email address you provided with your application.

Is there any way this can be fixed, and account re-applied?

    You can always re-apply to adsense but there are no guarantees

    Well, if I use different domain (naturally), I am good? You sure I can really use exactly same google account? I don't want to mess with new ones...

      Yes it possible. You can try with different domain name and re-apply the same account to get it active. I have the same problem with adsense account when i registered through third party website. But later when i changed with my own domain then my account got approved in one week time.
