i was thinking of this idea while reading up on SEO.

Is it plausible to post a SEO job in elance and when vendors submit their proposal, you can read how exactly are they going to rank your page. The good thing is you can query them on their methods if you don't understand something.

p.s i know this is very unethical.

    Every SEO Services provided by those groups are indeed good for you. But I think it is better to learn SEO for your self. Being an SEO is not that hard. As long as you have reference or good source to start with.

    what i actually meant was that if you need more ideas with SEO, you can see how these SEO companies are doing their stuff by 'cheating' them about a job for them but in actual fact you are only interested in their methodology

    SEO is about work. It takes hours to do all the things you need to do in order to make your sites rank. You can get good ideas from lots of places, including the Warrior Forum - no need to steal it from an SEO's proposal. Even if you knew all the things that need to be done, it takes time.

    If you're willing to do the legwork yourself, it might be a good idea to pay a good SEO to evaluate your site(s) and make recommendations. Then you get the benefit of his or her expertise, but you don't have to pay for all the hours to actually do the work.
