Question on the best use of Keywords for a Site

Hey folks,
Let's say I have a list of 100 keywords (long tail say) that I want to rank for on my site. All are relevant.
Now, I plan to outsource articles for those keywords.
My eCommerce site also has a WP blog where I post articles to drive traffic.
Here's my questions:
1. If I post the article on my blog, but I want to get some link juice back to my homepage, should I link back to my homepage, from the article, using keyword as anchor text?
2. of answer to 1 is YES then should I just insert one link back to the homepage, or will multiple links help.
3. Can I also link, using another keyword, in the same article, back to another, deeper, page on my site.
Finally:
Do you think it better to post the article on my own blog, linking to my homepage, or use the article and submit to an article directory (like eZine) and link back to my homepage?
