Adsense Click Through Rates

Hi all,

I would like to know should I receive a very high click trough rate, say 24%, on my Adsense ads will Google ban my account (god forbid), if all of the clicks generated are from targeted, genuine visitors to my website? Please explain...

    I remember John Xfactor saying he was getting as much as 75%-100% CTR on some sites and he never got banned. I have personally had 30%+ on some of those carefully optimised niche sites, but that depends on so much. If you traffic is converting, I doubt Google cares even if your CTR is 100% - you're connecting buyers with customers, and that's the point of Adsense. If you are just sending junk clicks (or worse - gaming the system somehow), well, you'll get smart-priced or worse. I don't think CTR by itself is any indicator.

    You shouldn't have any problems with high CTR's but when you're making income and Google is involved then anything can happen.

      i do agree with offline marketer . This is google so be carefull.

      i have read somewhere that your ctr should not be more the 10% if you dont want your account to be banned. This may be wrong but it is always good to take other's opinion.

    No, they won't ban you simply because of your CTR; but if you're using some shady techniques in order to achieve that high CTR, then that should be your area of concern.
