Hello, just a quicky, as i'm a bit of a newbie.

How do you make sure google returns the "correct" search results, say if you are located in the UK but are marketing to the USA, and you want to check ranking etc on google?

I'd like to check my results on a site registered only 5 days ago.
I'm not sure I believe google's answers.

    Hey You can use this url to check the the search results in US

    *http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&gl=us&q=seo+blog&cts=1247839291770&aq=2&oq=deposit+&aqi =g10***

    The gl=us is what tells what country you want where in this one it is US

    If you want other countries you change the US to whatever country code you want

    Great Britain - gb
    Germany - de
    Austrailia - au
    Canada - ca
    Russia - ru
    France - fr

    Etc...

    There are also probably some internet marketing tools out there that could really help you with this (Market Samurai is the one that comes to mind for me right away).

      Google results do vary quite a bit by geolocation. You might need to find a proxy located where you want to view the results from.

    I use Aol.com search - it shows US results and that gl=us works pretty well.

    Hi Limestone. I use a great Firefox plugin called Rank Checker. It shows me my ranking for specific keywords in both the US and UK. You can also select other countries and search engines, and you can save your keyword searches which is great for quickly checking for improvements.

      Hi you can use plugin for FireFox and Google Chrome called Google Global.

      Another great tools for doing the job done is using Market Samurai software, like it was mentioned before.

    Thankyou for all your answers.

    Market Samurai, wicked software. 100% you need it. Earlier today it showed me at Google page 1, position 9.

    I am much happier now, i have tested it on a system completely untouched by me, using an isp i have never been on, yet still google page 1 from my keywords, better than that, seen at position 2 and 3.

    Site is only a week old.
