Interested in how easy it is to beat a wikipedia type of page for a keyword if you optimize just for that keyword and have a close to same domain? Just interested :confused:

If the Wikipedia page's HTML title tag has your exact keyword phrase in it, not easy.

  Just an interesting concept to think about cause wouldn't google consider wikipedia to be sort of like a content farm if you think about it?

  Wikipedia is a content farm but there is a big difference between it and the likes of Ezine Articles. The information is through and detailed much of which is written by industry experts, not the shallow stuff on offer at the article directories.

Wikipedia is the best website. We benefit a lot from this site. I would be happy to be the second and Wikipedia is the first.

If your website has authority as high as wikipedia, then you can compete with wikipedia. For example you are a famous singer and wikipedia has information page about you, but your official website can outrank wikipedia
