Hi, I currently have an affiliate site that I'm trying to rank for a 18000 exact match primary keyword and 1000 exact match secondary keyword.

The URL is of the following type: http://www.primarykewyordreviews.net and is an exact match for the secondary keyword.

The site is 2 weeks old.

So what did i do already:

- Put Wordpress theme up
- Wrote 3 product reviews
- Wrote 1 article that I put on the site: a 'buying guide'
- Wrote 1 articel that I published on ezinearticles.com
- Did a VERY limited amount of forum/blog posts
- Currently about 10 backlinks indexed, some even with URL instead of keyword as anchor text and none high PR

How I currently rank:

- primary keyword: just entered top #100, dancing around #90-100
- secondary keyword: kind of steady on #8 now with small fluctations

My competition:

- primary keyword: #1 is a similar review site with 160 links, all forum profiles, all for just this one keyword, created around august last year.

- secondary keyword: also a review site, a bit more products reviewed, but very short articles and overall more spammy look to it, JUST 3 BACKLINKS, but with keyword stuffed anchor texts. Still kind of strange it ranks so well...

What I just ordered today:

- 800 (2x400) backlinks on a private blog network within spun articles
- an 8 spoke link wheel created from High PR web 2.0 properties to my site
- mixed package of 6000 forum profiles, blog comments, forum signatures and profile links, dofollow and nofollow

Let's see how this goes... What do you all think???

Hey rvdp just wondering how you found all your competitors backlinks??

It would be smart to do the exact backlinking +more not?

I use SERP Attacks, there is a free version available. It can also do SERP checks for your keywords.

Getting 160 forum profiles indexed is way too hard to do manual. It's quite obvious he also used some kind of automization, probably just a XRumer blast. Since I don't know the details of the service he used, I can't exactly replicate his backlinks. But that's not what I'm after. It's better to have as much diversity as possible in your backlinking profile. Ofcourse I do want AT LEAST his amount of backlinks

They were both purchased here on WF in the Warrior For Hire section, and only very recently set-up. I took the private blog backlinks because I heard some good things about it, and these are clean links within related articles, not just comments. I paid $9 for a review copy.

As for the mixed packet, I did so mainly for the mix itself so I wouldn't have to buy seperate packets, and because the seller said they get indexed pretty fast, usually around 50+ the first day already... so wanted to see this for myself. For this I will be paying $15 -$20, still negotiating, also review copy.

Just checked and the blog links are pointing to the non-www version of my site, so I did a 301-redirect. Can't hurt I guess...

Thanks for following all, I received my first order, the 400x2 links on a private blog network. Everything looks ok, the blogs are a mix of .com and .info, and each spun article contains two links, 1 primary keyword and 1 secondary keyword anchor text. I used PingFarm to mass-ping them all at once.
