Profile backlinks - Do they Still Work?

Hello Everyone!

I've read somewhere that profile backlinks, having been abused, are no longer valid.

I was just wondering what you think about this, based on experience and or theory.

Yes, they still work, I'm still seeing SERP movement, just harder to index now days.

  Absolutely! I'm using my own clusters of Autoblogs with Backlink Energizer plugin, which gets them indexed fast and save my time.

the ultimate package would be one where they set them up and then ping each of the profiles to make sure they get indexed. Otherwise it could be a few days for a few weeks tell google ends up finding the profile and indexing it

Yea, profile links are not easily indexed like they use to be, you now have to use certain tactics to get them indexed, as before it would only take a few days to get your links indexed.

I'm using BE at the moment to help get my backlinks indexed, works the best in my opionion out of all the methods that I have used in the past.

Yes, Oranges does mean to point backlinks at backlinks. This is a tactic I have heard a lot, but never tried.. but it is definitely important to ping your profile backlinks, because otherwise they will probably never get indexed.

Angela/Paul Backlinks is very effective for website because users come first in your profile then do other works

for me i always save a list of my profile links and upload them directly into tom's backlink booster. It will automatically ping, rss and post them on web 2.0 sites to boost the linkjuice and increase indexation rate. There are other products like sean's backlink boost and another one called backlink energizer which all do the same job. It really works in getting the profile links indexed

Whatever it is, but I think back links those can produce targeted web traffic need to be considered here. Non targeted back links are worthless. May be those back links play the vital role in SERP. But I think search engines are not the only place for getting potential customers. In terms of online marketing aspect and sales conversion rate, targeted back links are more important than non targeted.

Yes, Profile backlinks are sill working very good.

After making the links just ping them and then share them to social networking sites for indexing fast.

they still do work but you need to be more selective now. I see few really competitive search results now with top rankings using just forum profile links. Even some of the less competitive terms that used to show great results no longer show as well indexed or not. use them just make sure to mix them with other kinds of links
