Google webmaster tool shows zero backlinks!

Just yesterday, i was checking my google webmaster tools and it showed that i had 56 backlinks however i checked in today and i see no backlinks in there. Is this normal or am i being slapped?

    Really it is not good for a new site. I think there is a big problem on you searching option, i am not sure. Please check it again right now. Sometimes technical problem occurs. Don't worry.

    Of course, no one can say for sure that this is what is happening with your site, but the thread above is one of many on Google's Webmaster Tools Forum about backlinks disappearing and then re-appearing again the next day.

    You shouldn't be looking at that anyway. WT is an extremely unreliable source for checking your backlinks, as is G in general.

    Yeah, I have noticed that some of my backlinks will fluctuate quite a bit not only by the day but by the hour also. No big, just keep getting em'...
