Hi,

I'm thinking to buy one of these tools (or maybe some other) for getting keywords from competitors adwords campaigns.

Which one you can recommend ?
#keywordspy #semrush #spyfu

Been using the free version of SpyFu tool and I could tell that the tool tells a lot about the keyword you put as the query. It's highly recommended for both keyword analysis and PPC research..

I like SEMrush in terms of price. Sometimes get frustrated with data missing for my market (UK) and think the interface is not as sharp as SpyFu or Keyword Spy. I'm sure there are free trials so take them for a spin!

Thanks for the information. I've signed up for Spyfu simply because my market is UK.

Got a fantastic deal from Spyfu. They offered to wave off my second month's fee if I sign up for one month. 39 pounds for two months is a steal. Contacted them through chat.

I tried these all and also ispionage and compete.com. keywordspy has more countries in its database, but the price is too inhumane. Semrush and spyfu are similar to each other. Spyfu is slightly more functional, and as a result price is a bit higher. So now I use semrush.

Semrush for me. The benefit of using a tool like SEMRush is that you can find hidden profitable keywords that your competitors are using. This is helpful when you're entering a new niche or expanding your list of keywords.

semrush parses more keywords than spyfu does. And - semrush has API. API is a great deal for me.

In terms of the quantity, quality and organization of data, keywordspy is by far the best. No comparison with the others.

When trying all 3 products at the same time, and using it to analyze some of my own websites, keyword spy was about to consistently uncover a lot more of my keywords both seo and ppc than the other tools (often double the keywords). Same went for when I entered some of my competitors domains.

Try it yourself using the free versions of these products, while you can't actually see the beyond the first page of data with the free version, you can at least see the numbers of keywords returned and it's a lot more with Keyword Spy, hence my preference to use them. It's expensive, but well worth it if you are a full time internet marketer.

Just found this thread and thought I'd post my own findings.

I did analysis on my own domains between spyfu, ispionage, keywordspy and semrush.

My only factor was to analyse which tool found most of my own keywords and had the most accurate ranking data.

semrush won by a mile. Across more than 10 different domains, on a country by country basis.

for some reason keywordspy was way off.

I Tested both Semrush and Spyfu
for any website outside USA or UK Spyfu returns BAD data way off
SemRush Did a much better analysis for Countries outside USA and I do really like they was it shows competitor data...
        For me SEMRUSH wins...
But I am curious to test Keywordspy

iSpionage.com and whatrunswhere.com are the best.

I've now tested SpyFu and KeywordSpy, mostly for exporting large PPC keyword lists, all US-based.

SpyFu has unlimited exports, while KeywordSpy limits to about 50,000 Rows/day... which sucks.

Also SpyFu has actual customer support.

I've submitted tech requests into KWS, and so far nothing (5+ days now).

The pricing for ispionage and SEMRush indicate a limit to the # of exports/day.

Thus, SpyFu looks like the winner for exporting unlimited keywords.

I guess I will check out Spyfu.

I haven't really liked SEMRush, the usability of the site is horrid and I find the information to be out of date.

    What does everyone else use?

Spyfu.com is the only tool I use now

I particularly look at the number of advertisers - the more the better if you are building adsense sites

A surprising number of searches come back with "we are not tracking that keyword" - but I just take that as a sign the keyword is a dud, and move on to testing the next search phrase I find that looks like it has potential

Hi All thanks for all your reply but i would like to tell you something about SEMRUSH and Keywordspy those are provide keyword search data different so that i am confused. Could you please tell me which is right for keyword analysis of both of them?

I checked with this term" on page factors" in Keywordspy which shows me=
    Vol: 6,600/moCPC: $3.35

Then i went to SEMRUCH to check which shows me different like= ORGANIC SEARCH 10 and CPC $0.00 or Competition 0.06.

I would be highly appreciate if you guys tell me the truth result of this term or the tools for keyword research.

    Thanks
