I have noticed that quite a few websites that have adsense on them have Letterboard ads displaying on them and some others have Large Rectangle size ads. I have not seen many other ones.

Would you say that those types are most common ones and should be focused on?

Would you also go for animated banner or simple static one?

it would be nice to get a list of websites that have adsense in australia and support certain format types....

I know within adwords there is a placements option, but the traffic is from all over the place.

Hi, try Adplanner Doubleclick by Google...
Then go to Research --> Search for Placements--> and then choose Audience Geography (Australia) and it will show you info about all sites where Australians go and which have Adsense on it.

Based on my experience, the highest CTR ads are the ads which have rectangular size and ugly in design.

The more beautiful your ads, the lower CTR will be
