How do you build a link wheel?

I have seen a lot of people post building a link wheel but no one has shared an example (from what I have seen).

I know you don't want it to connect and you want to incorporate Web2.0 sites.

Can someone map out a solid SEO link wheel strategy? Or at least a link wheel plan that they would implement for a new site? For an existing site?

Search for linkwheel images in Google.

When building linkwheels, it's the best practice NOT to link them all. Instead, leave 1 gap in the wheel.

Another good tip is to start with the last Web 2.0 property because you'll be better off linking backwards, which saves you time and effort.

I use seo link robot and it allows you to build open link wheels very easily. Works for new or existing sites.

Write 2 articles, publish one article on wordpress and another on livejournal. On article-1, create a link to original website and another link to livejournal 2nd post. Same from livejournal too.

Attention: Google penalizes link wheels if discovered... Some one else already suggested that you should break this cycle in order to not be detectable!

  The picture above is a good way to build a link wheel but I find it a lot better by not linking one of the web 2.0 sites and building at least 5 back links for each web 2.0 sites. This will make the link wheel look a lot more random to google.

A Linkwheel is usually composed of 6 web 2.0 sites that are linked to one another and also linked to one main website...
