Hey everyone,
I'm a novice to adsense and I recently registered on it. Mostly I have been dealing with affiliate marketing and never paid attention to AdSense but I opened a new site where I think money from adsense will be more feasible than AM. So I have a couple of questions about it, I hope someone can answer them for me

1. I've heard that it is not easy to get into adsense. Their verification process is very hectic and they reject a lot of people. They haven't rejected me yet because I have whois privacy and they were not able to verify the ownership of the site. So what should i do in the meantime to get accepted?

2. I know the price of each click on adsense is very low. 5 cents average. On the other hand, on this same forum, in other discussion threads (not WSOs), I've seen some people saying that they get $1-8 per click. I don't believe all of it but I know some clicks pay high. How do I get those high paying clicks? Is there any particular requirement for it?

Create a blog on Blogger, make the blog subject a hobby (NOTHING ELSE). Make the blog about any simple hobby (no gambling, sex, or IM).

Pick something simple chess, cycling, etc... what hobbies do you have?

Your goal is to get accepted (that's it) the hobby blog doesn't need to be anything impressive.

Keep it simple & you'll get accepted.

You will get payed whatever they want to pay you, that's just the way it is.

Some niche do have higher payouts, anything that is expensive in off-line life cost the same online.

Good to hear that you are getting in the adsense game. For me it was very easy to get into adsense. I didnt have a who is privacy though and I was ranked on the bottom of the first page of google. You can do a google search to find out to get accepted easier.

The first steps in adsense would be keyword research this will make or break your website.

The typical requirements you hear everyone talking about is
Cost per click at least 1 dollar or more
exact local search at 1000 or more
Google top ten results should show at least 3 websites that are dont have a page rank
Backlinks for each page should be under 100
    Exact match domain

There are more but these are probably the important ones.

First use google keyword tool and type in a keyword then change your search critrea to exact local searches and create a column to show the avg cost per click.

Then go to godaddy.com and check to see if your keyword is available in .net, .org, or .com

once you found a keyword to match your parameters type it into google and analyze the top ten results.

then find a good adsense theme and start building your website.

    I use:
    seo firefox
    adword tool
    Micro Niche finder
Click bump theme and plugins for wordpress

    1. It's not hard at all to get in. If you have a genuine website with normal content you're good to go.

    2. Adsense can pay you up to $5/click! Use high paying keywords like insurances, loans, mortgages, data recovery etc! You'll definitely make more than 5ct/click

Wow, does that mean I get to choose my advertisers? I used to think, the ads displayed are chosen by Google based on the keywords that match with the page.

Back in 2006, I convinced my sis to apply for AdSense by using her personal blogger blog.

    Worked then.

    Don't know about now.
