  do you mean for backlinks? if so you have to go the user control panel and edit your sig and post your website in that.

  Seriously though, forum commenters(spammers) are terrible. No one wants to read a forum thread and have a dozen worthless comments that were only posted to get a backlink. Of course, adding your link to the signature and posting something worthwhile can be a great strategy to share your knowledge and honestly advertise your brand... but stay away from spammy commenting.

Forum commenting for backlinks goes as follows:

1. Sign up for a forum in your niche
2. Add a link to your website in your signature
3. Post useful, informative, helpful posts on the forum regularly

It isn't really necessary to sign up for a forum in your niche for the purpose of getting backlinks. Hell, I have sites in my signature here that people for some reason still click on that have nothing to do with internet marketing. However, if you want to get traffic that might convert, I would recommend posting in niche related forums.
