Anyone Using DAP with Optimize Press?

Hey Warriors!
I just pulled the trigger on DAP along with Optimize Press. The decision was based on what I researched here in the War Room..
Here's my hold up... Hope someone can give some wise counsel on this.
I have an existing site that is on page 1 with the Big G for a few different keywords. 1st placement 41million. Not so bad.
Here's the deal though, If I switch my index.html which is my root directory for my landing page for the domain, to the wordpress platform as the root for the domain name, Will that totally jack up my placement and ranking?
Would it be better or safer to keep it as is and build a directory for the wordpress platform or a sub domain?
