Interest-Based Ads or Not? Your Experience?

For a while now, I have been running "interest based ads" through Adsense. While I do well, I can't help but think I could do even better if I switched. A natural curiosity certainly resides.

What has everyone else's experience been like?

      If you login, choose my account from the old interface.
      I can't find the setting on the new one.
      Scroll down and you will see interest based ads.
      You can turn it off or on.

      I am not sure it is an issue, because google will target
      visitors anyway, especially and foremost if they are logged in.

      I think the consensus is that if you turn it off, you will get more
      targeted ads. I can't come to that conclusion 100% yet.
