google.com vs google.co.uk

So i was wondering whats happening. I used to track down my new keyword with google.com, scroogle scraper and some firefox rank checker plugin.

Google.com and scroogle lately have been showing that i rank in top 20
The firefox plugin shows that i rank in top 15.

I wondered where would i rank in google.co.uk, because there are more searches for my keyword in uk that there is in usa. So today i checked 997 results, and there wasn't my website.

I wondered what are the chances that google.co.uk shows me wrong data. Because i can't believe that scroogle shows me in top 20 and i ain't even in top 1000 co.uk. Is there possibility of google dance? I wasn't logged to any of my accounts and find this really frustrating. My domain name end with .com, but still in results most of the websites had .com ending even though you search the term in co.uk google.

Or maybe i really rank so good on google.com but don't rank at all in co.uk? That would be weird, because doesn't scroogle watch international results not google.com?

Didn't really follow but you can get different results depending on what datacenter the query is going to.

Also what i find weird, is that i have more impressions from UK that i have from USA according to google webmasters, which i weird if i don't show up in rankings at all for co.uk google. Thanks.

Don't know about scroogle, but if you want UK traffic, try setting the targeted country in Webmaster Tools to the UK, and maybe implementing some geocoding - I have quite a few sites that target the UK and Ireland. It's usually best to have a .co.uk domain though, but .com will work also with some strong SEO behind it.

It depends on where bulk of your backlinks are coming from. If you have loads of backlinks from sites in the UK then you will rank well for google.co.uk.

Setup webmasters tools & configure your region. What's your preference USA or UK?
